Where tank water is to be used for potable usage, Pioneer Water Tanks strongly recommends that consumers take advice from, and comply with, the requirements of their state building and/or health authorities.

In all situations where rainwater is to be used for drinking purposes - good catchment (roofing materials, flashings, guttering and tank maintenance) is extremely important. The use of a properly maintained first-flush diverter will also ensure the quality of water going into a water tanks. Additionally, a properly installed and maintained water filter will further ensure water quality from the tank.
If a roof is to be used as a rainwater catchment for drinking, we recommend that roofing / re-roofing works be carried out in accordance with the relevant state or local government standards.
^Please Note: Some organic liquids can extract the plasticiser, (Industratex® only) which results in hardening, particularly when the liners are removed from contact with the liquid. However, they are not suitable for strong oxidising agents, some solvents and most oils.
