NOZZLES & FITTINGS ORIENTATION

Tank Nozzle
Nozzles

All Pioneer tanks can be orientated to suit your individual needs. We have the flexibility to insert nozzles through the tank wall, roof or floor. We can adapt to most flange tables- BSP, D, E, DN, DIN or ANSI. Additionally, we can provide you with polyethylene or galvanised steel fittings.

Valves

Pioneer also stock a selection of valves including ball valves, butterfly valves, float control valves, diaphragm valves, check valves and electronic level sensors. Please contact us to discuss your particular requirements.

Tank Nozzle 3
Nozzle Orientation

Nozzle orientation is an important component in tank design. The position and size of the nozzle will determine the "effective" or usable storage capacity. Before we manufacture any water tank designed for commercial use, we create a nozzle orientation drawing that allows you to nominate the position of each nozzle- inlet, outlet, overflow etc. in order to integrate with existing or new pipe work. All penetrations are incorporated during the design process and are pre-punched during manufacturing, so only after the nozzle drawing is approved by you as correct does the manufacturing process of your custom tank begin.

LADDERS & ACCESS

Pioneer Commercial Tank Access Ladder
Ladders & Platforms

The ladders and platforms from Pioneer Water Tanks are specifically designed to suit our range of Pioneer tanks. A range of internal and external ladders have been developed to comply with Australian Standards (AS1657) and customer requirements. All ladders are Hot Dipped Galvanised (HDG) or alternatively, we can supply stainless steel, fibreglass or coated ladders.

All commercial style ladders can accommodate external and internal platforms, requirements for cages, and heights of up to 8 metres. The commercial ladders have been designed to connect with either our roof platform or the sliding access hatch.

The following types of ladders and platforms are availabele from Pioneer Water Tanks:

  • Fixed Ladder
  • Platform Access Hatch
  • Commercial Sliding Hatch
  • Change of Direction Platform

More information is available in our Commercial brochure which can be found in our Downloads centre.

Commercial Side Access Hatch
Side Wall Access Hatch

The 750mm side wall access hatch has been designed as a safety measure. It allows access to the inside of the tank from ground level in the case of an emergency.

Vent Hatch

The vent hatch is used to circulate fresh air when entering the tank. A bell crank is used to open the vent opposite the sliding hatch.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

Tank Valve
Scour Box

The scour box protects the scour valve from accidental damage or tampering.

Level Indicator

A level indicator is an external device that shows the level of water within the tank. These indicators can be fitted to any rural or commercial tank up to 8 metres in height.

Presstite Seal
Dust & Insect Protection

Protect your stored water from dust, insects and frogs by installing Super Seal between the corrugated roof and the top edge of the tank. This high density foam makes a tight seal, which can help prevent insect invasion. Easy to install, Super Seal is custom cut for your tank.

FUNCTION & DESIGN

Pipe Bracket
Pipe Brackets

Pipe brackets are used to stabilise external piping. Note: it is the clients responsibility to ensure ground pipework is appropriately supported.

Fascia Strip for Water Tank
Fascia

The unique fascia strip has been designed specifically with safety and aesthetics in mind. The fascia strip is fitted around the outside diameter of the tank where the corrugated steel roof sheeting finishes, providing protection against any sharp edges. The fascia strip complements the Pioneer bolt strip for safety and security and adds a unique and professional finish to the tank.

Roof Ventilator
Ventilation

Adequate air-flow is essential when personnel enter the tank for routine maintenance checks, or to remove airborne pollutants and excess condensation from the tank. For more information on adhering to procedures for confined spaces, please Contact Us.
