12 February 2010Pioneer announces the creation of a new GALAXY®

Pioneer Water Tanks has announced the development of a new and improved GALAXY® tank, the GT170.
Based on its predecessor the XL35 model, the GT170, has been re-designed and re-engineered to maintain the Pioneer standard for strength and durability, but at a price that makes it more cost effective for the customer.
Standing 2.18m high and 10.02m wide, the GT170 has a gross capacity of 170,000 litres, an ideal size for a growing Australian family, or any rural or fire fighting application.
The GT170 is the second GT tank in the GALAXY® range. Released in July 2009, the GT110 is now one of Pioneer’s most popular tanks.
The GT170 is expected to perform equally well, with Pioneer confident customers will recognise exceptional quality at a very competitive price.
According to Daniel Wyatt, Pioneer Water Tanks’ General Manager, “The GT range of tanks provides tough tanks and high quality water storage at exceptional value for money.”
“The larger capacity of the GT170 allows the tank to serve dual purposes, primarily for water storage and supply, and secondarily as fire protection, through the allocation of a fire fighting reserve with the necessary fire fittings.”
The GT170 will be available in all states & territories from 15 February 2010.
