ZINCALUME® steel
A product of BlueScope Steel, ZINCALUME® steel sheeting can be expected to provide up to four times the service life of traditional galvanised coatings of similar thickness under the same atmospheric conditions.
ZINCALUME® steel is a zinc/aluminium alloy coated steel offering high corrosion resistance. It is suitable for roofs, walls, gutters, fences, house frames, water tanks and other applications requiring durability.
BlueScope Steel recommends ZINCALUME® steel for all conditions involving exposure to the elements such as roofing, walling and water tanks.
COLORBOND® steel
COLORBOND® steel's oven-baked finish resists chipping, peeling and cracking. It's also non-combustible, termite resistant and weather-tight, protecting your tank against harsh Australian conditions.
We start with a ZINCALUME® steel base for outstanding anti-corrosion performance. Next, a conversion layer is chemically applied to enhance coating adhesion. Finally, a specially formulated primer is baked onto the surface, before it's finished with a durable exterior-grade top-coat. With an advanced Super Polyester pre-painted coating technology, your tank will stay looking newer for longer.
High Performace Wall System
Pioneer Water Tanks manufactures a High Performance Wall System as a proprietary tank feed material for use in corrosive and abrasive environments. A multi-step process applies the polymer protective film known as TRENCHCOAT™ chemically and physically to the galvanised steel substrate where it acts as a protective barrier on the inside surface of the tank wall.
The High Performance Wall System has increased resistance to acids, alkalis and aggressive soils containing sulphates, carbonates and salts, making it ideal for use where a higher level of corrosion performance is required. This might be due to the nature of the contents stored in the water tank and/or due to the extreme nature of the surrounding environment.
